London
Do you ever have those days when you feel as though you have been busy the entire day, and you are tired enough to prove it, but in retrospect you think "I don't have much to show for this day!"
This was one of those days. The morning was spent before I had a chance to get organized. Once again, I awakened with a migraine, and by the time I had gotten on top of it, the clock was at noon.
I wrote a card, and wrapped a very small gift for Eliza - whose birthday is coming up in August. I am unsure about how much to trust the British Postal System to deliver on time, so giving them nearly three weeks is a gamble. I also got a small gift ready for our newest family member, making his appearance sometime in October - Brooke and Clint's baby boy.
I cleared out a shelf in the closet, corresponded with Herve, the Pathway Institute supervisor for Europe, and I believe that I am completely done with the class. It looks like programs are being streamlined to make it more teacher-friendly in the future.
I showered and washed my hair. (I have got to come up with an easier way to do my hair.) I blow it dry and use a straight iron, style and spray it lightly - all of which is undone within ten minutes of stepping outside into 88% humidity, rain and wind. Nevertheless, it is STILL fun to walk in the wind and rain.
I packed our bags and we came into London. We have a zone conference tomorrow - all day. We will finish around 6 p.m.
Last week, Sister Hull told us that there happens to be a vacant senior missionary flat that we could stay in tonight, tomorrow night and Friday night. It was too good to pass up.
The mission has kept this flat open because they have been putting new young missionaries who are isolating in here. There will be a new senior couple moving in soon, but for this week, we are most grateful to be able to stay here. Friday, we are spending the day with the Roskelley's, seeing the sights of London (However many you can see in a day). We are looking forward to that.
Tonight, they came over and we played cards for an hour - "Ninety Nine." It was great fun.
On Friday evening, we will go with them to see a play in the West End. We'll see one of my favorites, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Coat. We are looking forward to that.
I'll tell you all about it.
