A Day to Remember

If there has ever been an uneventful day in the history of our England London Mission, this is it.

I worked on grading assignments for the Pathway course. It is not intense, mostly just giving them credit for a good effort. Some of them can barely understand English.

SK worked on indexing. He noted that this day June 2, is his parents 89th wedding anniversary. It is also the 56th anniversary since he walked into the Spudnut Shop and said, "You have restored my faith in my mother's judgment."

One more anniversary: It is the nine-month anniversary of our second landing in the England London Mission.

Around noon, I walked over to the mall to return a couple of items that I had ordered through the mail, and they were too large! What a lovely thing that is. (It's not that I am actually thinner; it is just that I ordered too large a size.)

I stepped outside, breathed in the fresh warm air (it got up to 79 today), felt the breeze on my face, paused for a moment to exult in enjoying being outside, and carried on with my walk. Bill was not there today, so there was no one to greet except the clerk in the shop.

Later we drove to the church to see if my PowerPoint does better where the internet connection is stronger. It seemed to do better, so I will go to the church next Tuesday to give the lesson.

Brother Donaldson complimented me on my PowerPoint. It consisted of 10 really nice slides and a couple of short videos. It was really a nice presentation to hang a lesson on, and I was disappointed, but as they used to teach us at the museum, "No one ever knows what you forgot to say."

Institute this evening was a class that we only have to show up for. And it is always good.

Hey! Would you consider posting your PowerPoint here on the blog? I'd love to see it.
