Showcasing Oxford
It has been threatening to rain all day....dark and dramatic clouds skittering across the sky. It is so cozy to be inside. We set out for our walk with several destinations in mind. We went to the post office, the grocery store, and then we reconnoitered the central part of the city for tomorrow.
Yes, SK and I are part of a mission....no not ELM, even though we ARE a part of the ELM. And this is actually an assignment from the ELM. Tomorrow, we will go with the young sisters, and two elders from London to Oxford landmarks where the elders will film the sisters reciting the narrative for Sunday night's devotional.
I am writing the little bit of narration that will come between testimonies. I have watched the testimonies of the individuals who will be speaking and have made a list of some of the better known sights, such as 1. St. Mary the Virgin Church, 2. Backyard Castle, 3. Bridge of Sighs, 4. Bodleian Library
We walked the path that we will all travel tomorrow, except tomorrow's may be a little longer. We walked just over 2 miles, which isn't bad, but we were arm in arm under an umbrella some of that time, which I think is absolutely charming! I'm afraid that it may not be nearly so charming tomorrow when we are trying to film. But then again, perhaps that will be what people expect from this verdant land.
This evening with a little help from my favorite editor, I finished and sent the script to the sisters. Now we wait for the morrow - and good weather.

I am very curious to hear about how the country will mourn the death of Prince Phillip and what kinds of things you will notice in regards to that....black arm bands, flags at half mast, etc.
