Grand Experiences
Well, it is time for bed. It is nearly 10, and I have been trying to get up earlier and be more efficient while the day is yet young. The days are clearly getting longer, the sun is rising earlier and setting later, and I can only imagine what it is like in June...June 21 to be precise. Today, sunrise at 5:55 and sunset at 8:12.
It seems like the days are lengthening out faster than in Arizona, without the accompanying heat.
The day started out with SK walking over to the Elder's flat to play tennis. He could hardly sleep for the excitement. He was up at 6:30, dressed, and ready to go. He played with Elder Watford against Elder Reynoldson and Sister Tizard. Sister Bloxham jogged around the perimeter of the tennis courts for exercise. I slept!
As soon as I got up, I started right in on the tutorials, and also brushing up on Faces of Christ. Honestly, every single time I give that, I learn something new. I gave it this evening for a ward Relief Society in London. It was a lovely small group, but there were sisters from France and other parts of England there. It was very nice, and they were very kind after. It was a Zoom call, which is so very lovely because no one could see the back of my hair. It is so long and shaggy I hardly know what to do with it!
That was my day!
I also did some emailing with another couple who are teaching Pathway Institute and also serving with the young adults. I am going to have a zoom meeting with them tomorrow and I hope they will help me get it all sorted out. To be truthful, I am not quite sure how the programs meld together and why I need two programs! But I know there will be a lot of reporting - by me. I am so hoping that I don't regret this in the final months of our mission. Time is slipping away.
It will end in July. Thirteen classes. But when I have prayed, I have felt a sense of peace and felt that this is something I can do. The course is Jesus Christ and the Eternal Gospel. How can I not benefit from this? I relish the study.
SK worked away at indexing and went to the grocery store. The rest of the week is going to be very very busy, so I need to do some baking tomorrow.
I spoke with Deb today. They are drowning. They are speaking at stake conferences now in person, they are doing more traveling, because they have more senior missionaries coming in, more young missionaries coming in, need more flats, must make more assignments and must do more training. I think I would have a nervous breakdown if I were in their shoes.
I am quite content in my shoes, even if I am struggling and stretching to learn these computer programs. I'm certain this will be a grand experience once I know what I am doing.

Is there no pickle ball there? That’s so cute to hear about Dad being excited to play.
So many things for Dave and Deb to get situated. What an unusual time to be a mission president. I know the missions in the states swelled to twice their size last year and they had to find new housing and furnish them in such a small amount of time. And now things are shrinking again.
