Canterbury Tales

Tomorrow will be marvelous!....if I can just quit thinking about everything I do not know for this Institute class.

We are joining four other senior couples from London and we will visit the White Cliffs of Dover.  I am so excited!  This will be one of the very few sight-seeing trips we have engaged in.  We have taken an hour or two or so before, but seldom have actually traveled to a site just to luxuriate in seeing the sights.  I am not sure why....I guess it is largely due to COVID.  Otherwise, I think we would have criss-crossed the mission before now to see some of the many magnificent sights.

It is a 3-hour drive there and a 3-hour drive back.  We decided that we would go and spend the night tonight and be there fresh tomorrow to join everyone.  Then we will only have a 3-hour trip back.

We had hoped to get away earlier....it is now 2:30 in the afternoon.  We had a District Council this morning.  Our dishwasher died - once again....3rd time in a month.  And I have been trying to answer emails, line some things up for the upcoming weeks for YAs, and answering some pressing things on Pathway.

SK is being sooooo patient.  We are ready to leave.  He LOVES road trips.  I hope I can calm myself enough to be good company for the rest of today and tomorrow.  It will be fun.

We are staying in Canterbury!!!  Yes THE Canterbury.  It is not far from the Cliffs of Dover.  We have vowed that the next two days we have open (when will that be?) we will travel down there again, and drive along the coast to the west side of our mission, then up and home.

After so many months of lockdown, I hardly know what to think.  I will give you a rundown tomorrow (Saturday) night.  We have to be home for the 9:00 call, and then after that, I will write.

This is my post for Friday the 16th.

Love to you all!
