Games

I am happy to say that the mystery of "The Lost Art of Having Fun" has been solved.  I checked with everyone who knows us and knows what we do with the young adults - except our children.  Those rascals in Arizona sent it!  Here is an example....it is a game that I'm looking forward to playing with Oxford as the place to hide in!

We are waiting to hear from the visa department and the National Health Service about obviously, our visas and our vaccinations.  We might as well settle in, because those wheels grind slowly.

I actually pulled my mixer out today and made cookies!  Well, I made the dough.  First thing tomorrow, we will some baking and then make some deliveries.

The sun came out in the afternoon for a glorious walk.  These days, we have been racking up 2 to 3 miles, not as many as we used to do, but that will come.  Three miles is a lot of distance to see a lot of Oxford, and we always feel as though we have traveled much farther than when we used to circle the Gilbert Temple four or five times (3 miles!)  We have been staying away from most of the river walks lately because the walkways near them are usually muddy and so we stay on the familiar paths through this town that we love so much.

There is snow (100%) predicted for tomorrow, and a good chance on Sunday.  How exciting is that?  What is really funny is that Gilbert Arizona has gotten snow!  What a crazy coincidence.

On the COVID news front, the numbers of daily cases, hospitalizations and deaths are all falling when measured over a weekly average.  It has been a full year now since the first case was reported in the UK, but the government is still urging great caution before easing any restrictions.  It will probably still be April before that happens.  The number is one in 55 in England have the virus.

We enjoyed the Friday Night Zoom Game Night with our Zone.  Tonight they came up with a version of Family Feud, which was homemade and hilarious.  We will be ready to host one of those games nights by reading through our new book to find the perfect game for those young missionaries.  Ha!

I’m glad you’re able to get out to walk. And it sounds like that book will give you some fun game ideas!

Ed and the kids and I play that game in the car on road trips! We "hide" in our house. It's fun.
