Wouldn’t it Be Nice?

Lunch was a bigger deal that I expected but it was all great. I think it’s because I MAKE it a bigger deal. Hot dogs, potato chips and green salad would have been fine but I started thinking….”Wouldn’t it be nice…..!”

Wouldn’t it be nice to have chili dogs?  And wouldn’t it be nice if we had cream puffs for dessert? Both of those things added a few hours and expense to the lunch - but the missionaries loved the lunch….I guess that is why I start thinking “Wouldn’t it be nice if….” It’s very reinforcing.

I am nevertheless going to do better. Who doesn’t love a popsicle for dessert?

They all helped clean up, I packed and we left our flat at 3 for London. We got bogged down in traffic and our elders called to see if they had left their keys in our flat. There is only one set.

I got out of the car and walked the half mile home and ransacked the place looking for the keys. In a few minutes SK and the elders had pulled into The Lion Brewery. They each in turn searched under cushions and under furniture. We finally called the management company who told them to come by and pick up a key- cautioning a death penalty would be exacted if the key wasn’t returned today.

The elders left in quest of their key, we left in pursuit of a rest in London, which we got. At least until tomorrow when we set out from here on foot to see London.

We will start out at a spectacular Van Gogh exhibit. It is nearby in Hyde Park. After that, wouldn’t it be nice to see The Globe Theater and St. Paul’s Cathedral?  And Big Ben?

We’ll see our our feet hold up.
