Resting

I think all of our wonderful sight-seeing did us in. I slept until 8 and SK slept until 10! I got up (in the flat we stayed in - in London) and cleaned both bathrooms and cleaned both refrigerators. The senior missionary sister who gave us the key and let us into the unit apologized profusely that they weren't clean....but the young sisters who recently isolated there must have been somewhat remiss in their cleaning before leaving.

I figured that it would just be easier for me to do it, and then it's done. I did a load of laundry - brand new sheets they brought for the bed we slept in. They had borrowed sheets from another flat for us to sleep on and those will need to be washed and returned - next week.

Next Friday evening will be the Senior Missionary Family Home Evening, and we will attend since we will be kind of the guests of honor. Since we will be leaving before the next Family Home Evening, they will give us a nod and probably give us a few minutes to ramble on about whatever we would like.  It seems like I could ramble on and on! About the young adults, about the young missionaries and about England and everything else here in this beautiful place.

We will stay again next Thursday night, which will give us time to do a little more sightseeing before coming back to Oxford. I am grateful for this time before we leave England. But of course if anything comes up in the meantime where we could be of use to our young adults, we would stay here, and skip FHE.

But we have fewer and fewer people here, and I think we will not have anything interfere. The question is what to do with that nearly a full day. mmmmmm. What a delicious dilemma.

We motored home through terrible traffic. The ride from London to Oxford was smooth sailing, but the traffic was so bad the last 30 miles that it took us an hour longer than usual! I think the tourists are beginning to descend upon Oxford!

We took it easy the rest of the day...nice.

By the way, here is a picture of Francis....our math wizard who just received his PhD and is in great demand. He will only be here a few more days. I think he is a real catch for any woman. He is kind, witty, so intelligent, speaks with a French accent in a deep voice - and he is so handsome!

Also, while I was scrolling through past pictures, I found this photo with the Mission Leadership Training with Reverend Teal.
