Every Day is Precious - Mostly
I will be happy to put this day to bed, and I am also happy that it turned out to be a day that we didn't have to go anywhere.
I awakened with a migraine. I took my usual headache potion, which really didn't do much for the pain. So SK carried on with the day, taking the sisters to and from church. Since it was the other ward's turn to be in the church this week, we watched on Zoom....well, one of us watched. I turned the Zoom call on in the bedroom, and listened for about 5 minutes before I drifted off to sleep.
I managed to stay awake for Sunday School and another meeting with the missionaries at 1, but didn't participate, didn't have the camera on. The rest of the day has been the dreaded "migraine hangover - the time when the medication has kicked in but you still feel a bit woozy and sickly.
Later in the day, I rode along with SK to make some deliveries to a couple of young adults.
It got up to 90 degrees today! The humidity was 88 when I got up around 7, and has dropped down to 52% this evening. Temperatures will be in the 80's through the week, and then on Saturday with a 60% chance of rain, the high will be 70. Ah....that's what I like.
I spent some time on the grades for the Pathway class. And then read some for the lesson. This coming Tuesday will be the last one. I'm so glad I did it, but I will be so glad to be done.
This week will be transfer week. That means missionaries will be moved around like chess pieces. We here in Oxford are losing Elder Reynoldson and Sister Jones, both excellent missionaries. I just pray that the new elder coming in will click with Matt. You never know.
We will miss those to young missionaries. SK especially since he had a great relationship with Elder Reynoldson. They teased each other all the time. I know Elder Reynoldson loves SK, and looks at him like a grandfather. Funny how you establish sweet relationships and then move on, sometimes never seeing individuals again.
But life is so much richer because of the many outstanding people we have come to know and love.
