Sunshine and Snow
It snowed today!!!! Did you see the posts from last week....seventy one degrees and picnics in the park? It has been in the thirties and forties for the last several days and when we went out to get in the car in the afternoon, little flakes of snow were wafting to the ground. It melted immediately upon impact, but it was definitely snow. Within an hour, the sun was out and shining brilliantly for about an hour. Then snow - again. Crazy.
We forced ourselves to go out in the cold and wind to walk. I would have been happy to skip it, but I know we feel better when we walk. All of the following pictures were taken within 2 blocks of our flat.
Our sister missionaries are coordinating an effort in our zone to submit Facebook posts that will direct people interested in their message to them. Every time we are given an assignment to do something like filming ourselves for social media, SK rolls his eyes. He hates to do that. But we will do it, and it won't be difficult.
We tuned in to the mission call at 9, and listened to some good training about working with stake leaders to find and teach individuals who are interested. One of the APs mentioned all the blessings from the last week's focus on Christ, starting with Thomas Kofod up to and including the amazing Lamb of God. He took another sentence to elaborate. I believe most of the missionaries truly loved it.
At 10:00, we spent some time with my siblings - an hour and a half to be exact. It was great to catch up on each of their children and grandchildren. Today was my older sister's birthday, so we sang to her.
It was a sweet way to end a good day. We agreed that we will see each other again in September or October. I am looking forward to that, but at the same time thinking, that means I will be looking back at all this.
That will be here before we know it.
