Studying the Scriptures Part 2
The day was spent fine-tuning our reading schedule and then holding my breath and hitting the send button. I don't know if it is going to be ready by tomorrow to distribute to all of the missionaries. That is in the hands of the people in the office. From what I have observed, they are pretty good at creating miracles.
I talked to one of the office senior missionaries - a sister. She had been given the file of the reading schedule (3 full pages) and tasked with reducing it down to one page (why?) and making it pretty. I felt bad for her. I could have done all before I sent it to her. She was laboriously cutting the contents of every cell in my Excel worksheet and pasting it into a Windows Word table. I far prefer Word, and would have happily done the whole thing in that program.
Unfortunately, when the request came through, I didn't know enough about what to even ask, so I got it done in Excel.
Now it is late again, and SK and I are both working on our talks for tomorrow's mission Zoom call. We'll present the program with as much gusto as we can muster.
We had Family Home Evening with 3 young adults and two young missionaries, making a grand total of 7 with SK and me. It was fun and they were cute. Our YA took a poll this week asking if people were coming back to attend "Uni" as they call it, and if so, when. Nearly everyone answered that they would not be back until at least late February or after Easter.
It's going to be a long winter.
Not really.....I just thought that was a nice sentiment. Unfortunately, even the days when we have no assignments (doesn't happen very often) speed by. It will probably be a very short winter.
SK found this odd record today while he was indexing. The record is for Anna and her husband - Janis!

Why do they call it “uni?”
Anna is constantly trying to get me to use google docs instead of word. But I prefer word. That’s too bad about the extra time transitioning it over from Excel to Word. But I’m sure it’s fantastic!
