All the Blessings The World Holds
Mmmmm. Let's see. Three loads of laundry, a little more work on preparing dinner (salmon and sauteed brussels sprouts), sent some emails, sent some messages to young adults, joined a zone Zoom call and played games with our young missionaries (isn't it cute - and amazing that on a Friday night these young adults are giggling and enjoying a game of questions about scriptures, "Preach My Gospel," and seeing who can collect a list of items from their flat fastest?)
The truly bright spot today was when I heard the metal mail hinges clink, signaling that there was mail delivered. I went to look, and there was a hand-addressed card from SK's cute sister! Look at that sweet thought on the front. When I read a greeting card's message that is particularly meaningful, I think of Longfellow Deeds. That character in "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town" is such a gentle soul.
I will have to hang that up to remind me of the many beautiful blessings this world holds.

Those are just the big ones. If I began to list the smaller ones, like the sunrise and sunset playing over surfaces, the rain, a city drenched in history, loving kindness from others, laughter, great art, scriptures, marvelous poetry, literature, music, a toddler's hand in yours, a little one's sloppy kiss, prayer, and sweet answers to prayers, chocolate, frost on the rooftops....
The card's statement is true....if you look, there are little reminders everywhere of how many blessings the orld holds.
